Important: Photographs Required Prior to Appointment
The GlamRoom requires clear photographs of all problem vein areas to be submitted before your appointment. This allows our specialists to conduct a thorough vascular pre-assessment, determine candidacy, and prepare a tailored treatment plan in advance — ensuring your time in clinic is used as efficiently as possible. Please photograph the affected areas in good natural light and submit via email or through your booking confirmation. Appointments without prior photo assessment may need to be rescheduled.
The Process
Photograph Assessment
Before your appointment, the clinic requires clear photographs of all problem areas (veins) to be submitted in advance. This allows Dr. Pawel or Eglė to conduct a thorough vascular pre-assessment and prepare a personalised treatment plan tailored to your presentation.
Medical Consultation
At your appointment, Dr. Pawel or Eglė conducts a hands-on vascular assessment, reviews your photos, and confirms the treatment plan — mapping the veins and selecting the appropriate sclerosant concentration.
Skin Prep & Positioning
The legs are cleansed with an antiseptic solution. You will be lying down comfortably on the treatment table. Your specialist marks the target veins and prepares the syringes with the appropriate sclerosant solution.
Precision Injection
A sclerosant solution is injected directly into each affected vessel using ultra-fine needles — typically 15–30 minutes per session. You may feel a mild stinging or warmth during injection, which subsides quickly.
Compression Application
Immediately after treatment, medical-grade compression stockings or bandages are applied to the treated areas. Compression is critical — it holds the collapsed vessel walls together and prevents blood from re-entering the treated vein.
Gradual Clearance
Over 3–12 weeks the treated veins fade as your body naturally reabsorbs the collapsed tissue. The full result is visible at your follow-up appointment, where additional sessions can be planned if needed.
What to Expect Post-Procedure
Immediately After
- Walk for 15–20 minutes directly after treatment — walking activates the calf muscle pump and helps disperse the sclerosant
- Compression stockings or bandages must be worn continuously for the first 48 hours
- Avoid sitting or standing still for prolonged periods
- Mild aching, tightness, or bruising at injection sites is completely normal
Days 2–7
- Continue wearing compression stockings during the day as directed by your specialist
- Avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, and sun exposure on treated areas for 1 week
- Avoid strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, or long-haul flights for 3–5 days
- Some veins may appear darker or more prominent before they begin to fade — this is expected
- Over-the-counter pain relief (acetaminophen) can be taken if needed; avoid ibuprofen/aspirin
Weeks 2–12
- Treated veins typically begin to fade noticeably within 3–6 weeks
- Larger vessels may take 3–4 months to fully resolve
- Avoid sun exposure without SPF 50+ on treated areas to prevent hyperpigmentation
- Attend your scheduled follow-up so your specialist can assess the results and plan any additional sessions
- Most clients require 2–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for optimal clearance
